Pendant l'été 1965, Jean-Baptiste Foucret doit remplacer un impitoyable chef scout. Moniteur étourdi et sans grande autorité, il prend en charge un teigneux groupe de jeunes garnements qui ne pensent alors qu'à lui faire vivre un enfer.
