Par une journée de printemps de l'année 2000, une petite fille de 4 ans disparaît. Elle s'appelle Hortense Delalande. Elle accompagnait sa maman, Sophie Delalande, faire quelques courses. Sur le parking, elle grimpe sur son petit tricycle qui ne la quitte jamais. Un moment d'inattention, et Hortense disparaît. Sophie la cherche, très inquiète, entre les travées et finit par trouver... le tricycle. Renversé. Pas d'Hortense. On ne la retrouvera jamais.
